Just this morning before starting work, I was swirling around in my chair thinking how proud I was of myself for not shopping for a whole 5 days then TONIGHT came.

Koji Eyetalk Eyelid glue is for us girls with NO EYELIDS. Yes, I’m vain but what are you gonna do about it?
I’ve looked around everywhere for Koji Eyetalk locally but never found it and wasted $20 on this crappy brand but I finally decided to buy Koji online (don’t ask me why I didn’t do that in the first place) so I hope it works for me since stuff that works for everybody else usually never works for me. :snooty: And of course, Epicare. At least I only got 2 things and the total for both only came to about $20.
My MAC pigment samples finally arrived! I was never really into pigments because I’ve always thought of them as messy and too much work (since I’m sooooooo lazy) but I recently got into them and BOY AM I GLAD. I guess you really can’t go wrong with $1.50 pigment samples but I’m driving myself into hell because I think I’ll be spending A LOT on fullsized pigments in the future. :S It’s such a waste because I only wear make up on weekends (I just don’t see the point in getting all prettied up for work)!!! I can’t help it though! Ah!
The pigments include: Fuchsia, Golden Lemon, Lovely Lily, Melon, Mutiny, Nocturnal Plum, Pink Bronze, Teal, Steel Blue, Vanilla, Violet, 3D Silver, Blue, Golden Olive, Emerald Green, Pink Pearl, Chartreuse, Cornflower, Deep Blue Green and Gray Glitter which was included as a gift.

Happy Birthday to my soul sister Phoebe!
I made the right decision to have a spur of the moment rebonding session over at the salon in my neighborhood, Perfektion Salon, for it was a photo-op heavy weekend as I celebrated two of my favorite people’s birthdays! Just in time to sport my new ‘do!
The story goes, well, it was the long weekend a week before, and I was longing to have my hair colored because there was already regrowth from my previous hair coloring that was so noticeable - dark brown versus light golden brown. I was getting uncomfortable with it, so I planned a trip, one Sunday afternoon to Perfektion Salon, in Banawe ( it’s on the 2nd floor, while Starbucks Banawe is at the ground floor ). As I arrived there, I innocently asked the question, “Can I color my hair, and rebond it at the same time?” I was surprised that they said yes, and the stylist Leo suggested me to have cellophane treatment instead of the harsher hair colouring treatment that can complement hair rebonding. Well, in a heartbeat, I said yes, because I’ve been wanting to have my hair rebonded already. My hair was getting poofy, frizzy, and with waves because I sported ponytails ever since they became poofy! My hair was rebonded last year, and the magic wore off already!
Leo cut my hair *gasp* into medium length ( from long ), and started the rebonding procedure. Would you believe that we started at 4:30 pm, and we ended at around midnight? Double gasp. I was really apologetic to them since I had an impulsive decision, because if I had planned it all along, I would have gone in the morning. After the rebonding, the cellophane treatment only lasted around 30 minutes. Rebonding was just very tedious, but as far as I remember, here’s what they did
1. A solution was applied, but it was two kinds of treatments - one for the “virgin hair” which was the regrowth, while one for the colored portion of my hair. Leo explains that it would be damaging on the hair if he only applied one kind of treatment, specially on the “virgin hair.”
2. After waiting ( for an hour, I think? I might be wrong because I so have no sense of time! haha! ) my hair was washed properly. It was blow dried, and it was hair ironed to perfection. Hair ironign took a long time because the whole rebonding process depended on that step, and whatever the hair would look like after the hair ironing , it would take that shape, and that form. After that, neutralizer was applied.
3. After a few minutes, hair was washed again, and now, it was blow dried again. They applied the cellophane treatment on me. After 30 minutes, it was washed off, blow dried, and hair ironed ( though not as meticulous and careful as the hair ironing in the middle of the hair rebonding process ).
Now, as I went home, I was a very happy person because my hair was already more manageable and it means I can have a hiatus from using the hair iron, which takes forever for me to fix my hair with ( my hair’s impossibly thick. ) The 48 hour no-washing-the-hair period was hell, though, because I could not live a day without washing my hair! On the second day, I noticed it was getting a little bit limp and greasy, so I got some baby powder, and put some on my hair. Good thing it was effective in absorbing the oils from my hair as I had to wait a few hours more. When the clock turned 12 am, in exactly fourty eight hours, I jumped in the shower and washed my hair with all happiness! Hahaha!
The first few days of getting accustomed with my new hair was different. I haven’t sported short hair for a long time ( yes, this is already short in my definition ),and I was feeling it was a bit flat. Like, how ironic is that. I was wishing my hair would be a little bit flat, and now I was suddenly wishing for it to have volume. Took a few days before it got some bounce. I have to deal with the usual don’ts again - don’t tuck your hair behind your ears, don’t tie your hair, those kind of stuff. I’m also going back to my very religious intensive hair conditioning to maintain my new rebonded hair. As it is chemically treated ( so glad it survived two procedures in one salon visit ), I need to take care of my hair as I promise to use conditioner every single day. No, not just conditioner, intensive conditioner!
and yes, my hair isn’t very light anymore. I somehow miss my light hair, my hair’s a tame medium brown right now, and it would have to wait for a few months before I can color it back again. Still craving for that wild shade. Haha!
So, here’s me sporting my new ‘do, with eye makeup guru Shen,
and here’s another birthday celebration last Saturday with my bestbuds in the whole world!

Happy Birthday Jacqe! I love ya!
So, I’m happy that I went to the salon after all! To be prepared for the -ber months, without worrying too much bout my hair. I swear I’m got absolutely no patience to style my hair!
Thanks to Perfektion Salon for that awesome job! I highly recommend this salon as they are very meticulous and really pay attention to detail. They definitely are very obsessive about the results, so I say try availing services at this salon!
How do you like it?

Gina Gershon dons a bikini and grabs a shotgun for a FunnyOrDie.com video spoof of Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Last month Paris Hilton declared her candidacy for president in a FunnyOrDie ad where she rolled out an energy policy that had McCain’s camp declaring, “Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan.” …

The Knot.com has an article about the trends of weddings in 2008, and we thought their first trend, “Making Split Decisions” was so neat. If you have the money and the time, this trend is a really cool idea!
Their number one trend was focused around the decision to wear a sexy mini dress or a princess ball gown. Sometimes you can not decide. The Knot suggests to wear them both. They predict that in 2008, brides will not only change the style of their dresses between the ceremony and reception but could also change their hair style. Couple can also do this together by changing the color of their clothing from these two events. They suggested that “…guests arrive to a clean, all-white ceremony, experience a hint of pale hues during the cocktail hour, and then step into an explosion of rich color for the reception…”. This is something to consider when planning your big day.
We love the idea of, not so much changing dresses, but the evolution of color as the party progresses. I think it will really keep your guests interested and aesthetically involved.

During the summer time you will be relieved that you will not need to deal with the biting winds of the winter. But with the summer you will need to protect your hair from the intense rays of the sun.
Your hair is the first area of the body that is going to be exposed to the rays of the skin and this can lead to problems such as loss of moisture, the hair becoming brittle and your scalp becoming dry that you develop dandruff. So you need to protect your hair by doing simple things such as wearing a hat or a scarf, using an intensive moisturiser and moisturising conditioner.
